#ClosermE&U celebrates European Union Member States ambassadors’ ties with Vietnam
The cultural-awareness campaign was especially popular with the country’s younger generation
In celebration of Europe Day, ambassadors from 12 European Union Member States shared their favourite aspects of Vietnamese culture in an engaging video series that ran from May to June 2021.
The #ClosermE&U social media campaign, published on the EU Delegation to Vietnam's (EUD) Facebook page, captured the ambassadors exploring the streets of Hanoi with Vietnamese celebrities and Key Opinion Leaders savouring local delicacies, shopping at markets, working out and connecting with the community. As each ambassador’s story is unique, the series was created under the theme of the EU’s motto: "United in Diversity".
The 12-part "90 seconds with EU Ambassadors" is was a big hit with Vietnamese youngsters on social media. The videos have already surpassed 1 million views and attracted more than 146,000 engagements. Reaching these new audiences will allow the EU to continue strengthening its relationship with the country's young population.
