Philippine experts talk trade and sustainability in EU-organised webinars

The event promoted dialogue on the significance of EU-PH trade and climate action

The EU Delegation to the Philippines co-hosted a two-day online event with Stratbase ADR Institute from 23 to 24 November 2021 focused on the importance of EU-PH trade and climate action.

Held as part of the high-profile Pilipinas Conference 2021 forum, 2,500 participants from the public and private sectors, the diplomatic community, civil society attended the discussions.

On day one, policymakers, businessmen, and government officials met for a dialogue titled “Special Discussion on Philippines and EU Trade”. The debate highlighted the role both parties play in securing and making global supply chains sustainable and economic recovery, especially in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Environmental stakeholders from the government, private sector, international community, and civil society gathered on the second day to discuss climate action, environmental stewardship and the need for unified and responsible actions in all sectors.
