Tóm tắt phim

Không lâu sau khi Chiến tranh thế giới thứ hai kết thúc, một kẻ lừa đảo đã cố gắng lợi dụng hoàn cảnh hỗn loạn và bất an lúc bấy giờ để tư lợi cá nhân. Bị buộc phải chạy trốn khỏi Budapest, anh ta được một người phụ nữ bí ẩn và con trai cho trú ẩn nhờ trong rừng. Trong lúc cố gắng đối đầu với con ác quỷ bên trong mình, anh ta lại vướng vào mối tình say đắm với người phụ nữ có chồng sắp sửa trở về từ mặt trận.

Synopsis

Shortly after the end of World War II, when chaos and insecurity reign supreme in the country, a con man tries to take advantage of such confused times. Forced to flee Budapest, he's given shelter in the woods by a mysterious woman and his son. Still trying to confront his demons, he soon finds himself in a passionate love affair with the woman whose husband is about to return home from the front.
