Dr. Kristiana is very passionate about research and education in Indonesia. She is currently a chairwoman for MERO Foundation, a private, and a newly established research center in Bali, focusing on marine education and research development in Indonesia. Dr Kristiana is one of very limited number of the women scientists in Indonesia working in marine invertebrate nudibranch and its associated bacteria as well as marine natural product for drug discovery research. She has experience working with national and international researchers and published many influential research papers. She is an excellent scuba diver and has exquisite experience in the laboratory setting, especially microbial laboratory.
