Dr Rongrong Cheacharoen

Rongrong Cheacharoen, PhD., is a researcher at the Metallurgy and Materials Science Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University. Her research focuses on renewable energy, spanning a wide range from understanding degradation to improving operational stability of both energy conversion and energy storage devices. She has pioneered encapsulation techniques of the halide perovskite solar cells, which enabled this technology to be commercialized. Moreover, her field-stability investigation and enhancement of mini-module and integrated renewable energy systems promote real-world implementation of many exciting renewable technologies. In 2021, she was selected as one of 25 outstanding young scientists and winner of the Green Talents Competition 2021 of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
